The Telek rendition of "Let the hammer fall."

Mawkanitoo nadkarokol nulistaj.
mawkani-too nat-karo-k-ol nulis-taj
allow-IMP INST-hit-NOMIN-NOM fall.down-DS
"Let the hammer fall."

Notes:

-too: imperative/hortative marker.

nat-: instrumental marker indicating the action of the verb is carried out
by a complex tool. (A hammer is complex because two pieces had to be joined
together. A club is an example of a simple tool). It becomes nad- due to a
phonological rule.

-k: nominalizer

-ol: nominative case marker

taj: subordinating different-subject switch-reference marker
