Yes, that's it. Even the most un-footy-aware person would know that "Gazza"
was a Footballer (soccer). Personally I think the judge
knew perfectly well, but just wanted to demonstrate just how little he
cared! We don't really have two sorts of football, no;
Nobody in Britain ever says "Soccer" - an abbreviation, by the way of
"association" in the days when the difference was made.
Football's football, and rugby's rugby!
