I hadn't realized _GEB_ had nonstandard stuff in it, but it's been--gosh,
over 3 years since I read it, and it's challenging material (if you're
not a math genius and read it in HS).  Beautiful, beautiful book.  Some
years back I ran across a website for a year-long math course that
apparently used _GEB_ as its main text!  That would've been such a neat
thing to take, though I bet I'd've flunked it.  :-p
