Actually I dont think so. I know I do omit the subject of sentences myself:
"Have to go to the store now, see you later"
"What are you looking for?" "uh......looking for a book."
"Lost my keys the other day, have you seen them?"
I swear i've heard friends and family do the same thing from time to time.
Usually it's used mostly when talking about oneself (at least with me).
