Re: YAEPT: (sorry) GVS repeating itself?

To my American ear, [gr@jn] approximates what I grossly oversimplify
to "the Australian pronunciation" of /i:/. Also found in other
Rightpondian 'lects, e.g. in Robin Leach's pronunciation of his own
last name.
