Well, growing up in Texas mostly in Independant-Charismatic or Assembly of
God churches most of my pastors chose ot be adressed as Pastor + first name.
There was Pastor Ben, Pastor Jim, Pastor Jimmy, Pastor Ray, Pastor Greg,
etc. When I went to a Southern Baptist church in college the same applied,
Pastor Ross. However, when I started going to the Chinese Bible Church it
was Pastor Tan or Pastor Chen, or Pastor Chan (all the same person being
referred to by speakers of different dialects).

Here in Taiwan EVERYONE (very mild exaggeration) is addressed by some kind
of title. I am Hua Laoshi, Teacher Hua, then there's Cai Zhuren (school
administrator), Zhang Mushi (pastor), Lin Militaryteacher (I forgot the
Chinese). And the ist of things used as titles goes on ad infinitum.
