I'm not sure about spoken Ladino (Djudezmo), but from what i've seen of
stilted Bible-translation Ladino, it does. It may be an influence from
the Hebrew direct-object particle _et_ used in the original of the quote
above:
en prisipiyo (en principio) = b-reishit = in the beginning,
kreo (creó) = bara = created
el dyo (Dios) = eloqim = God
alos syelos (los cielos, el cielo) = et ha-shamayim = the heavens
i ala tyera (y la tierra) = v-et ha-aretz = and the earth
Notice how the Ladino translation follows the Hebrew exactly, with a 1:1
correspondence between particles, except for the _el_ in _el dyo_.
