Doesn't [r] represent an alveolar trill? If so, I've heard /4/ in
these words but never /r/.
For me they are: /ha3T/, /h3d/, /3T/, /sta3/, and /v3s/; but then
I'm an American :-)>
thew /Tju:/ = well-developed sinew or muscle.
thews /Tju:z/ = muscular power or strength.
And I always say /k{sl/, movie title or not.
