Eeeenteresting... I have vague ideas about working up an "anti-Gypsy" language myself, with descendants of Late Egyptian-speakers living in China, mistaken for Indians. But I haven't got much solid done on it -- got bogged down in grammar. I didn't want to extrapolate from Coptic, but from a slightly earlier stage of the language. Hence the headache. Besides, I'm supposed to be doing _real_ academic work... bah! Anyway, please keep us updated, as you can, on how this develops -- I, at least, am very interested in hearing more. It would be fun to have a "cousin" conlang someday! Kenji
