Same in many parts of Spain. I kind of liked the squatty, though. Had little grips for your feet so you knew where you stood, so to speak. Similar toilet paper issue, as well. It could be bought or rented at the cashier's, if I recall right. I'm glad I didn't have to use the squatty that way! - but the ladies in our group were most certainly Not Amused. Padraic.
