Strange. I have the Japanese IME on my computer, but it doesn't affect how e-mails are viewed. What program are you using for e-mail? On Netscape, there's an item on the toolbar marked "view", which has an option for character set. That might be mis-set. -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
