Hmmm. That could be a rather tall order. There's a lot of linguistics in this reference grammar and to find/provide references for all the linguistic terms might take some doing. But I suppose this is a valid criticism. I tried to cover the most fundamental concepts in the Preliminary Concepts section. I suppose I could expand on this to include the definition of more of the terms I use. I don't know that I could provide references, however. I have no formal training in linguistic, but I have read rather extensively. However, I no longer remember the sources of much of what I have absorbed from that reading. "Speech act participants", for example. Although I certainly could define what I mean by the term, I have no recollection of exactly where I acquired the term and no handy bibliography of references. As you have probably already surmised, I mean by the term those pronominal referents that are included in the act of speech, the speaker (1st person) and the listener (2nd person). These are of particular importance in amman iar because of their unique position on the animacy scale that is realized in pronominal case distribution. I do discuss this somewhat in the Preliminary Concepts section. If there are other specific terms that you feel could use more theoretical explanations, I would be happy to oblige with explanations of how they are used in the ARG, but I may have to pass on the "references to other uses" bit.
