I'm afraid you're right. But why people can't just to the right
thing... I mean, it's not just that the web interface of the
listserv doesn't look at the encoding of the mail it tries to
dish up, it doesn't even try to produce valid html. With a lot
of trickery, I can convince konqueror to render it as utf-8, but
that should not be necessary.
And the listserv software isn't even open source, so it's essentially
unfixable. Give me mailman any day!
