Quite likely. I became Benedikt/Bensi quite rapidly on Iceland, and my surname acquired an extra acute accent even, or especially, at the bank. But being the verbal thinker I am I might change the spelling of my surname to Ewenson if I moved to an English-speaking country! ;-) /BP
