Just like we've always done here in Aus.
Y'all invented the secret ballot, so we can learn something from Down Under. We're a de facto two-party system though, so I don't think a preferential voting system would go too well. I do think there needs to be some standarization of how ballots and ballot counting works. It's all county-level, and some counties are dreadfully poor or unwilling to keep with the times. I'd say it should be all organized at state level, like our public schools. (Only we're not known for having the best public schools in the world...) One thing I wouldn't mind -- more runoffs (when you vote again for either of the top two candidates in the first election). Even for the Presidency if need me. (We had four candidates on the ballot in every state; the two minor candidates representing the far-left for Nader and the far-right for Buchanan.) DaW.
