Ambiguously, mostly. (OK, from what I've seen, at least; I'm no typologist.)
One solution is to have a "fourth person" pronoun, that would be used if the
referent was different from the subject.
Or do what you could in English, and drop the second pronoun in the case of the
same referent: he opened the door and left the room.

PS Or be absolutely evil and bizarre, and drop the first pronoun in the case of
different referents, and use different pronouns in the case of the same. Might
violate ALF.
