Germanic

The debate about "Celtic" is similiar to the one about "Germanic" though
they spoke lingos that were understandable, they I suspect did not feel
like they were Germanic, but called themselves by a tribal name, and
their lingo was their tribal lingo. Yes, some tribes we know of in the
later world, such as the Apache, might have know they had some
relationship to each other, but .. Still likely they did not think of
themselves as a whole culture. Maybe why Germany did not become a
cohesive whole until 1870.. Even from the beginning they were seperate,
even later when Charlemagne took over, he gave tribal kings the title of
Duke and things basically went on as before.
