An alphabet supplemented with abbreviations for some
of the most common words/morphemes, which have evolved
into logograms - as in my gjâ-zym-byn script:

This is not terribly dissimilar to the Japanese mixed
writing system, except with a alphabetical rather than
syllabary matrix and the embedded logograms are
far fewer [so far] than the kanji.
