The original XSAMPA version is a .GIF and is ("only") 11K larger. If
people would prefer a smallish non-PNG, the GIF might be better. (If
free.fr was set up correctly and/or the other server I have access to
wasn't currently down I could put them all up and advertise the URL as
.../cxschart and you'd get the best version for your browser, but no:
free.fr inisists on forcing metadata into the URL rather than the headers
where it belongs.)
