Don't forget <says>. It's orthographically regular, but is phonetically
[sEz], rather than the predicted *[seIz]. I've noticed this one trips
up a lot of nonnative English speakers. (This wouldn't be a problem
if /E/ and /e/ were not phonemically distinct.)
