I've designed a way for my vowels to sound well
I group my phonemes in three groups
a/a/a = |a|
I/I/i = |i|
U/U/u = |u|
e/E/E = |e|
o/O/O = |o|
2/@/@ = |y|
Usually, the vowels sound /a, I, U, e, o, 2/
In a diphtong, the phonemes will sound /a, I, U, E, O, @/
and when the word ends with a consonant the third will be used /a, i, u, E,
O, @/
so the word "he" is /he/
but the word "hem" is /hEm/
the word "ohi" is /ohI/
but the word "hai" is /hOI/
the word "tebnyte" is /tebn2te/
but the word "teibnyt" is /tEibn@t/
etc..
That's how I've made a kind of esthetic in the conlang I'm working on.
