Well, I'm female too, but I don't think anyone on this list could be
expected to tell from my name, :-) and I'm not a proper conlanger
unfortunately. I'm Singaporean, doing a joint BA and MA in English at
Yale. My English interests are Old and Middle English, history of English,
dialects of English; apart from that I'm quite interested in descriptive
linguistics, which is how I bumped into the conlang list in the first place
(the archives showed up when I did a web search for tones in Hokkien
Chinese). Then I joined because a class in Indo-European linguistics
assigned conlanging as a final project, and I've stayed because you're all
such nice people. :p
By the way, I too am straight, right-handed and non-bearded. :D
