Re: PDF woes

Well, just a small mail for those who may be interested. The first link
provided by Peter Clark describe a way of producing good-looking PDF which
doesn't work on all computers (it doesn't work on mine for instance), and
requires to use a font bundle which is not free anymore. On the other hand,
http://www.gvu.gatech.edu/ccg/resources/latex2pdf.html describes a way which is
platform independent, as long as the version of dvips you have is recent. And
it seems to work on my computer (I have a Windows machine with a MikTeX
distribution). On the other hand, this method produces ugly Postscripts (that's
a strange thing :)) ), although the PDF are indeed quite good, and it seems not
to be able to handle characters as simple as the Greek capitals, yet standard
in LaTeX. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but I find it rather strange...
Christophe.
