Spanish does it too. It's quite rare to hear _demasiado_ 'too (much)'
(probably because it's a long ugly word). Usually you use _muy_ 'very',
and that conveys the meaning fine.

_No, es muy chico._ ('No, it's very=3Dtoo small.')
