Well, I remember that "brother" *bhre2-ter came out in Armenian as "elbayr" [where 'l' is barred; I have no idea how this word is pronounced..was that {l} /G/?]. The source I looked this up in said *bhr- to {elb-} was a regular change, though I'm not quite sure if there's enough like that to _be_ regular ;p *Muke!
