Hi everyone! I'm new to the list, thought I should say
hi and all.
I've had an interest in languages since I was very
young. In 3rd and 4th grade, I used to make up codes,
write a secret message to my teacher in that code, and
give it to them. I always got it back finished. :)
After that I spent a lot of my free time just making
up code-like alphabets, then drawing a picture of the
alien planet that used it. (obviously, I've been a
huge Sci-Fi/Fantasy freak all my life)
I started getting into formal languages when I took
Spanish in High School, I still love Spanish. Then
watching Dragonball Z and other Anime shows got me
into Japanese. Reading the Lord of the Rings and
seeing the movie and got me into the Tolkien
languages. I joined the Elfling list and they told me
about this list.
For several years, I've been working in a fantasy
story that is to be tied in with one of my languages,
but I'm having both language blocks and story blocks
at the same time, partly because my thoughts are so
disorganized. Maybe you guys could help me with some
ideas on a way to structure my writing. If not, I'll
still enjoy the conversation. :)
