Hehe. *These* plurals are not strange, but quite regular. All so called segolate nouns follow the pattern: C1 @ C2 a: C3 + pl.ending, also conditioned phonologically, as in ¿eved - ¿avadim (¿ayin doesn't accept vocal schewa). But there are real irregular plurals, like bat - banot, bayit - batim, ¿ir - ¿arim etc. Some dictionaries mention them, but I can't recommend any, since I am not living in the anglophone world Shalom, -- Yitzik
