TECH: Unicode and my printer

Hi, guys!

I've had some problems printing some documents containing Unicode
characters. My printer seems not to accept them. This is much strange, also
because it used to work, until a month ago, I think. My mother, who is a
teacher, had to prepare a Latin school test, but the macrons and the breves
weren't printed; I had to present a research about Latin Elegia containing
some Greek extracts and I've had to transliterate them; now I'm trying to
print some linguistic documents containing UTF-8 encoded characters and they
don't show up on the paper.

If any of you knows why this happens... please help me!

Thanks in advance,

Luca

P.S.: my printer is a HP Deskjet 690C.
