OOOOps!
That should read "a 62 year old" - I was born on 15th Jan 1939, a few
months before Hitler decided to invade Poland & plunge the world into war.
I remember V1s coming over our village on their way to London - they didn't
always make it & one actually came down in the village, only just missing
our house. Which prompted us to move to Dorchester in Dorset for two
years; I was there when the war ended, and remember the celebrations to
this day.
Ray.
