I can't read that.

  It was   ecmb (where e = cyrillic <e>, c = cyrillic
<c> m = cyricillic "m" and b = cyrillic "soft sign"),

I assume it was pronounced /jes@mj/, similar to:

Zizn'  "life"  /Ziz@nj/
