Well, if you think of the physics theory called the string theory. Which
is such that everything, at it's most basic element is a string, just
like everything else in the Universe. What is different among them is
that the strings vibrate at different frequencies.

So think of yourself holding a slinky and moving it up and down in one
direction, only vertical motion - no horizontal. This is its "natural"
motion.

In theory you could give it a horizontal motion and adjust the vertical
motion such that when looked at so that you only see the vertical
motion, it looks the same. But when you look horizontally, you find that
there is another message within it.

Perhaps that secondary motion could be the tool which your ethereal
language moves along.

The theory is horribly abstract and I'm only now wrapping my mind around
it, but it sounds cool.
