For several years now I have been keeping a diary written in a version of
Old English derived from Stephen Pollington's Wordcraft written in an
orthography that I refined as I went along. I decided recently to start
ordering it into a legible form, a slow task as it means working out what
I said and what I meant. Some day I might post bits of its grammar.
Occasionally I borrow a Church Slavonic grammar from the university
library - but so far its phonology and its paradigms daunt me from
constructing a language from that source.

Q. Why are there so many Smiths in the Phone Book?
A. Because they all have telephones!
