Ah ... I don't think Yahya meant that "Mrs" would be the
possessive form of "Mr", as I understood it, he said that
"perempuan" was shortened to "puan" in analogy to "tuan" as
if a wife was the property of her husband -> as androcentric
as it can be.

in the native script. I have a word for 'lord' in the
dictionary as well, "nahang", which I'd expect to be also
used for "Sir". In translations of parts of the Bible I
made I have always used "(Tay) Nahang" for "(the) Lord",
i.e. God. The word for 'god' (with a small 'g') is
"pangal" and entered my dictionary only fairly recently.
