Last night at work I started thinking about non-verbal communication (I
work in a noisy factory). So does anyone include it in their
conlang/conculture?
For my race of oramyani, who speak wikilret, I was thinking of the
following:
- throwing back your head means no; it may be as subtle as raising the
upper lip
- nodding your head means yes
- shaking your head from side-to-side means "I don't understand."
- turning both palms up, with eyes downcast, is an apologetic or
submisive act
- holding your open palm parallel to the floor and then sweeping it
towards you means "come here"
- forming your index finger and middle finger into a 'V' and pointing
means watch over there; pointing at yourself means watch me
