Barbara Babbles;
I'm aquainted with interdental /l/ (and interdental /T/) from two sourches;
speach therapy for profoundly deaf and hard of hearing children, and from
stand-up comedians when they're parodying someone who's either a sandwich
short of a picknick, spoilt rich brat, or talking condesendingly in that
loud slow manner some folk use with non english speaking tourists.
I'd also swear I've seen it in eppisodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the
Cordelia character's speach when she's talking down at someone, but I
wouldn't bet my life on it and I'm not sitting through 143 hours of
tapes/DVDs to confirm that either ;-]
