In Hibernian English, there's no th or dh sounds. These are replaced with a dental t and dental d - both of which sound like "d" to the unpracriced ear. On my first tour of Dublin the guid pointed out Trintiy College Librart and anoundce that when the library was founded they had only thirty book". To my unprcticed ear I Heard that the libtray started with only "dirty books" (ie porn)! EOF-LOL Barbara
