Journal of Planned Languages* is a sporadic publication
about all types of intentional languages -- artlangs,
auxlangs, engineered langs. This is strictly a
hardcopy publication (not free, people will have to pay
the cost of printing and postage to obtain it).
wanted: Original articles that have not appeared
elsewhere, such as-- Book reviews; a reasonably concise
description of one of your favorite conlangs (giving
phonology, orthography, highlights of grammar and
syntax, specimen texts, etc); philosophical musings
about what went well and what could have been better in
projects you've been involved with; essays about the
joys of conlanging and the hobby's impact on your life;
that sort of thing.
style guide: This is not an academic publication.
The use of numerous footnotes, lengthy bibliographies,
and multiple quotes from obscure academic journals
are discouraged. Writers are urged to use the words
"I" and "me" when appropriate.
*It is likely that I will change the name of this
publication before the next edition appears.
