LOL! That's exactly what it's like for me. *Finally*, someone who
understands.
The trick with me is that I can chatter away in German all through
German class, and do all that, and understand everything that's going
on, and then do well in the course - but then, the minute I actually
*go* to Germany, I scarcely have the "courage", you could say, to utter
a single word, just for fear of getting laughed at. of course, what I
would say would probably be correct.
On Conlang, at least, as far back as I can remember, I don't think I've
ever said anything about German that's been wrong - I've not known
things, though, but that's different. You'd think I'd be more confident
by now, but no... or rather, nein. Wait... <stressful> is that right?
