We should just be keeping it in the original Arabic ...
Why, btw, the _ae_ in "Al-Qaeda"? It seems to represent the diphthong
otherwise transliterated variously as "ei", "ai", "ay" (Obeid, Ubaid, Ubayd,
to give three different translits I've seen in various places of the same
name); indeed, in Swedish media you usually see "al-Qaida".
