I'd always viewed |ne| as a content-empty word that separates the
subject-nouns from the object-nouns, because otherwise with the VSO
structure you wouldn't have been able to tell which was which if there was
just one noun or more than two.  If it does count as a case marker, it's
the only one Asha'ille has.  :)
