phonological change

Does anyone know of a good website about sound changes during language
evolution?  If not, any good books?  (But websites are free...)  I'm
thinking of putting my lang through some serious phonological changes,
but I want to know what kinds of things actually happen in (natural)
languages, so I don't do something really weird and improbable.  Thanks
in advance.
