Welcome to the romance conlang club (mine is Jûdajca).
There's also a listserv for romanceconlangs, called Romanceconlang.
(makes sense).  It's at egroups.
Do you happen to know about Medieval German?
I'm trying to find out if there was a word in old German that the Yiddish
word _shteg_ /StEg/ or /Steg/, i'm not sure about the vowel, "way, path"
developed from.  When i looked in online modern German dictionaries they
said that "der steg" can mean "web", "footbridge", or "base".  Do you
know anything about the history of this word?  (or anyone else on the
list know?)
