Sure, but that's text that someone typed in. If you check out an image of the actual handwritten document, e.g. http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/readings/declaration_image.jpg you'll see the long-short alternation in "necessary", "dissolve", etc. -- Mark J. Reed <markjreed@...>
