When my grandfather - on the Wong Side of the Family - died, we found
*tons* of those lil dinky socks. Even more oddly, hardly any of them had been
worn.
One of my relatives got those. Me?, I got a nice hand-carved walking
stick and knife that grandfather had when he was an officer in the post-1911
Chinese navy.
Memorable 3rd degree from grandfather:
- You go to school everyday?
- Why don't you go to church?
- Do you have a girlfriend?
- Does she come from a good family? Is she Chinese, White... {severe
frown} or Black?
- You have a gun?
