It's the same with me. I've always been a good phonetic
mimic. With my father it was decidedly the other way
around: the horridest accent with each French sound
replaced by the nearest equivalent (string) in his
native Swedish 'lect (Schö pangs kö schö pa[r]l frangsä),
but a passable grammar.

That one was easy. I just imitated my Dad's accent.
