Both 'very fun' and 'not very fun' are acceptible to me ('not very fun'
more than 'very fun', I think).
But then, the most common meaning of 'fun' in my speech is boring;
annoying; hated; not fun: -'I have a Maths exam' -'Fun'. (No, it's not
sarcasm, it's taking sarcasm to such an extent that the word changes
meaning.) Unless it's negated, in which case it has the positive meaning
again.

But nevertheless, I stand corrected. Thankyou (and John) for pointing
these out.

Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still
be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement.
