Not by all speakers; I had endless arguments with my second-grade
teacher who insisted on [srEjv@n] (schrijven=to write) when I said,
and still say after thirty-six years, [sxREjv@].
It's mostly a regional thing, made into canon by speech therapists
whose teachers happened to be from that region.
