Though I knew a redhead who was very much against being called "carrot
top", since - as she pointed out - carrot tops are *green*!
In Germany, I've also heard (rarely) "Duracell", since those batteries
were marketed for a while as "the ones with a copper head" ("die mit
dem Kupferkopf").
