Quite right. Comanche belongs to the Numic group of Uto-Aztecan; it's closest relation is Shoshoni. Lakota, of course, is Siouan, a very different language family (pace Greenberg). Dirk -- Dirk Elzinga dirk.elzinga@m.cc.utah.edu
