Oh, I mean <x>, the transliteration (it stands for retroflex s,
which I'm definitely keeping), not the sound /x/. Though the
former derives from the latter in my condiachronical setting
for this language.

I think a palatal click is apical (like the Spanish trilled <rr>).
The click I'm trying to describe must be laminal or something like
that (the tip of the tongue is horizontal, and the middle part of
the tongue is raised towards the palate).
